- ARSENAL

Alexis Sanchez is expected to return from a hamstring problem. Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (groin) is still out. England international Jack Wilshere is scheduled to resume training following ankle surgery. Mikel Arterta (ankle), Abou Diaby (calf) and Mathieu Debuchy (shoulder) all also continue their rehabilitation.

The defender, on loan from Stoke, has completed a two-game suspension after being banned by the Football Association for breaching its social media regulations. Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel (broken foot) remains an absentee and Chris Wood is still struggling with an ankle injury for the rock-bottom Foxes.

- HULL CITY

Strikers Dame N'Doye and Nikica Jelavic are both in contention to start. New boy N'Doye played the last 14 minutes against Man City, having joined up with the Tigers squad on the morning of the game, while Jelavic sat out due to continuing concerns over his recovery from a knee injury. Influential midfielder Mohamed Diame is moving closer to full fitness after his long-term knee problem, but will not be ready to face Villa.

Philippe Senderos (calf) and Libor Kozak (broken leg) remain Villa's only absentees after Ron Vlaar returned to the Villa squad at the weekend following a knee problem.

Gus Poyet will welcome striker Connor Wickham back to the squad after he missed the last two games with a calf injury. However, midfielders Jack Rodwell (groin) and Emanuele Giaccherini (leg) are both likely to sit out along with Lee Cattermole (knee).

Sandro has recovered from a knee injury but the midfielder will regain fitness in friendlies and under-21 matches before being reintroduced to the first team.

- LIVERPOOL

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is set for a spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury. However, forwards Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho have recovered from knocks from the weekend Merseyside derby. Adam Lallana has also returned to the squad after missing Saturday's game while striker Daniel Sturridge is edging closer to his first start after two substitute appearances since returning from a long lay-off.

Mauricio Pochettino has a full squad to choose from. Nacer Chadli could be recalled to the starting lineup after being eased back slowly following a family bereavement last month, but Pochettino has no injury concerns ahead of the trip to Anfield. Spurs recorded a 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Saturday but have lost all of their last four encounters against Liverpool, conceding 15 goals in the process.
