Fenerbahce tracking Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is a target for Turkish club Fenerbahce, sources have told ESPN FC.

Dzeko, who came off the bench late on of Saturday's draw at Chelsea, could face an uncertain future at City following the arrival of Wilfried Bony from Swanses earlier this month.

Bosnian international Dzeko has struggled for form and fitness this season, making just six Premier League appearances this term.

Dzeko has scored just four goals so far this season in all competitions with City boss Manuel Pellegrini preferring to play Sergio Aguero as a lone striker for a lot of the games.

The arrival of Bony could push Dzeko further down the pecking order and the news has alerted Fenerbahce who are long-term admirers of the tall forward.

Fenerbahce are currently top of the Turkish Super Lig and they see Dzeko as the marquee signing who would boost their chances of going on winning the title.

The Turkish club could be ready to test City's resolve to keep hold of Dzeko with a bid of 15m Euros before the close of the transfer window.

City are reluctant to lose any of their squad as they battle to retain the title and prepare for the resumption of the Champions League, but due to FFP rules they could see the sale of Dzeko as a way of recouping the funds from the signing of Bony.
