West Brom reject bid for Brown Ideye, sources say

West Brom have rejected a bid from Qatar's Al Gharafa for Brown Ideye, sources have told ESPN FC.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis has said he is willing to listen to offers for Ideye, who has struggled to impress since his arrival at The Hawthorns.

Ideye has scored two goals since arriving from Dynamo Kiev for a club record 10 million pounds.

Pulis is determined to bring in a striker to add to his attacking options, and Ideye could leave to raise funds.

A number of foreign clubs are thought to have inquired about taking Ideye on loan, sources say West Brom are holding out for a permanent deal for the forward.

Al Gharafa are thought to have tabled a firm bid for Ideye to sign the Nigerian permanently, but West Brom have turned down their opening offer.

The Qatar-based outfit are thought to have Ideye on a three-man shortlist along with Queens Park Rangers' Adel Taarabt as they look for striking reinforcements, and it remains to be seen if they will come back with an improved bid for Ideye before the close of the transfer window.
