David Moyes targets Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon - sources

Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is a target for David Moyes at Real Sociedad, sources have told ESPN FC.

Lennon's future at Tottenham has been the subject of intense speculation during this month's transfer window with the 27-year-old finding himself out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino.

The England international has made only three Premier League starts for Tottenham this season and was not even in the squad for the FA Cup defeat to Leicester last weekend and the midweek Capital Cup semifinal win against Sheffield United.

Pochettino is thought to be willing to listen to offers for the former Leeds man as he looks to reshape his squad this month.

The news has alerted a host of Premier League clubs with the likes of Stoke City, Everton, Hull and West Brom all thought to have made enquiries to land the winger.

However, Sociedad are planning to enter the race for Lennon with former Man Utd manager Moyes ready to offer the player a chance to kick-start his career in La Liga.

Moyes has previously admitted he was planning to return to the Premier League to bring in new signings to Sociedad and Lennon is thought to figure highly on his wanted list.

Sociedad have struggled for goals this season and Moyes believes Lennon could prove a valuable addition to his attacking options in the second half of the campaign.
