Samuel Eto'o has said he has passed a medical as he prepares to complete his move from Everton to Sampdoria.
The Everton striker used his official Twitter account to thank the doctor who carried out the examination and say he was "ready for a new challenge."

The development comes soon after the Italian club published the first picture of the Cameroon striker in their colours.
Earlier last week, it was reported that Eto'o had agreed an 18-month contract with the Serie A side, accepting a 40 percent pay cut -- but the move then appeared to stall as Sampdoria complained about a lack of clarity in their dealings with Everton.
However, on Saturday evening the Italian club released a photo of Eto'o wearing a Sampdoria branded t-shirt on their social media outlets.
"The first Blucerchiato smile for Eto'o at the end of his visit and waiting for his official introduction to Sampdoria,'' the caption said.

Eto'o, 33, joined Everton after being released by Chelsea five months ago and scored four goals in 20 appearances. He had also interested MLS club New York Cosmos.
