Barcelona yet to offer Rafinha new contract, Mazinho says

Rafinha's father and agent has said Barcelona have not given any indications over their plans for the midfielder despite his contract entering its final 18 months.

The 21-year-old's current contract at Barca runs until 2016, and was signed just before he spent a successful 2013-14 season on loan at Celta Vigo under his current Barca coach Luis Enrique.

However, Rafinha has made just five starts so far this season across La Liga and the Champions League, along with eight substitute appearances, although he has been sidelined at times due to injury.

His future at the club now appears uncertain as Barca have yet to make contact over a contract extension.

"They have still told us nothing," his father, former Brazil international Mazinho, told Mundo Deportivo. "I know that Barca work looking two years ahead, but there are still 18 months left and we are not in a hurry.

"When they want they will call us. We have a contract and we like it at Barca. We are not looking for offers, nor will we listen to any. Now he is just focused on the team."

Barca are currently prohibited from signing any new players until January 2016, due to the ban imposed by FIFA for breaking youth transfer regulations.
