Nantes defeat Lyon in Coupe de France, US Quevilly shock Bastia

Ligue 1 leaders Lyon were dumped out of the Coupe de France in the last 32 after a 3-2 defeat to Nantes.

Vincent Bessat scored a hat trick for Les Canaris, including an 89th-minute winner. The prolific Alexandre Lacazette had given Lyon an early lead but Bessat scored twice in three minutes and then had the final say after Nabil Fekir had equalised.

Fourth-tier US Quevilly, shock finalists in 2012 and semifinalists two years earlier, were at it again as they beat top-flight Bastia 3-1 on penalties.

After a goalless 90 minutes, Djibril Cisse's extra-time strike appeared to have seen Bastia through, but Adama Sarr hit back and, as they did against Orleans in the previous round, Quevilly prevailed from the spot as keeper Dan Delaunay saved three penalties.

Two of Quevilly's CFA rivals,Yzeure and Concarneau, produced upset wins over Ligue 2 sides.

Yzeure won 2-0 against Valenciennes, who had Saliou Ciss sent off in the 27th minute and fell behind to Remy Jous' penalty before Marvin Rousseau made the game safe.

For Concarneau, Christophe Gourmelon scored in extra time to defeat Dijon 1-0.

Auxerre avoided an upset with a 1-0 win over Jura Sud thanks to Julien Viale's goal, while Ligue 1 Metz won 3-0 at Avranches.

They needed extra time to do so, however, Guirane N'Daw and Bouna Sarr scoring early in the additional period before Kevin Schur's own goal set the seal on the result.

Fares Hassani's 89th-minute goal gave IC Croix of the CFA a 2-1 win over Andrezieux, from the division below. Jeremy Bekhechi's opener had been cancelled out by Romain Frossard but Maxime Dupre's red card allowed Croix to restore their lead.
