FA charge Bradford City, Millwall for failing to control players in FA Cup tie

Bradford City and Millwall have both been charged for failing to keep control of their player during the FA Cup third-round replay on Jan. 14, with Bradford manager Phil Parkinson and his assistant Steve Parkin also facing charges of improper conduct.

Bradford won the replay 4-0 at Bramall Lane to advance to the fourth round of the competition, though Parkinson and Parkin were both sent to the stands by the referee James Adcock following a melee sparked after Millwall captain Alan Dunne pushed Bantams midfielder James Hanson into the advertising boards in the first half.

A statement on the FA's official website read: "Following the FA Cup third-round replay between Bradford City and Millwall on 14 Jan. 2015, both clubs have been charged for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.

"It follows an incident in or around the 28th minute of the match which has also resulted in Bradford's manager Phil Parkinson and his assistant Steve Parkin being charged for improper conduct.

"Mr Parkinson and Mr Parkin along with both clubs have until 6 p.m. on 21 Jan. 2015 to respond to the charges."

League One side Bradford face a trip to Premier League table-toppers Chelsea in the next round of the FA Cup.
