Liverpool recall winger Jordon Ibe from Derby loan

Liverpool have recalled Jordon Ibe from Derby with immediate effect after the youngster's impressive performances for the Championship in the first half of the season.

Ibe, 19, made 24 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals for Steve McClaren's side to help them to second place in England's second tier.

The winger will now get a chance to make the breakthrough into the first-team as manager Brendan Rodgers has opted to cut his loan spell short.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Liverpool FC can confirm that Jordon Ibe has been recalled from his loan spell with Championship side Derby County.

"Ibe now returns to Melwood and becomes available for immediate selection with the Reds, who tackle Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday."
