Mesut Ozil has told Sport1 he believes Arsenal have the quality to be challenging for the Premier League title.
Arsenal's inconsistent form during the first half of the 2014-15 season sees the club trailing leaders Chelsea by 13 points.
But Ozil is not giving up hope of the Gunners mounting a run of form and climbing the table, with the side currently fifth in the standings.
The Germany international said: "We have a really strong team. People could see that once again against Stoke.
"So I don't see why we shouldn't finish right at the very top of the table. When you play football you should always have belief in yourself."
Ozil made his comeback from injury in the Gunners' 3-0 win over Stoke on Sunday, and the playmaker has expressed his joy at the return after making his first appearance since October.
He added: "I was as happy as a little kid to be able to kick a ball again."
