Oussama Assaidi's loan to Stoke ends with move to Dubai club set - sources

Liverpool misfit Oussama Assaidi has agreed a deal to leave Anfield to join Al-Ahli in Dubai, sources have told ESPN FC.

Liverpool have cut short Assaidi's loan spell at Stoke after agreeing a fee with Al-Ahli to enable him to secure his switch to the Middle East.

Sources say Assaidi has agreed a three-year deal with Al-Ahli to end his unhappy three-year spell on Merseyside.

Assaidi has failed to impress at Anfield since making the move to Liverpool from Heerenveen in the summer of 2012.

The Moroccan made only four substitute appearances in the Premier League and eight appearances in cup competitions for the Reds.

Assaidi was shipped out on loan to Stoke last season and impressed during his stint at the Britannia, including scoring a memorable winning goal against Chelsea.

After Liverpool failed to find a buyer for Assaidi last summer he was again loaned to Stoke, but he has been unable to establish himself in Mark Hughes' plans, figuring in 11 games this term.

Liverpool have now decided to cash-in on the 26-year-old this month with Al-Ahli officials expected to arrive in England on Tuesday to tie up the move.
