Wilfried Bony's agent confirms Man City deal could happen in 'a few days'

Wilfried Bony's agent has told Sky Sports News that he expects the Swansea striker to sign for Manchester City in the next few days.

Bony, 25, has had a wonderful season and was the top scorer in the Premier League in the calendar year of 2014 with 20 goals. The Ivorian has attracted the interest of champions City, who need to bolster their strikeforce, and is in talks over a reported 30 million-pound move in January.

The striker is on his way to the African Nations Cup, but agent Francis Kacou told Sky Sports News at the airport: "We are in talks and we hope it will happen. There are rumours about other teams, but City are the only ones interested. There are a few minor hold-ups over money, but we hope things will be sorted in the next few days."

Bony himself was cagey over the deal.

Asked if there was anything to report, he said: "Not yet but negotiations are ongoing. It is good to hear [of City's interest]. Football is like that. But for now I want to focus on the national team."

The striker also insisted: "Every player wants to play Champions League, World Cups. It is the wish of every player.

"When you get the opportunity... sometimes good ones, sometimes not, but I am just taking it step by step. I am focusing on my national team and wait to see the news like you.''
