          On the surface, it is tough to judge whether Tottenham is moving in the right direction. After a fourth-place Premier League finish in 2011-12, the team slid one position in the table each of the following two seasons, and its current seventh-place standing and inconsistent play this campaign are potential signs the trend is continuing.
