Leaders Bournemouth stayed at the top of the Championship after thrashing bottom of the table Blackpool 6-1 at Bloomfield Road.

Matt Ritchie bagged a brace for the Cherries, while Callum Wilson, Brett Pitman (penalty), Marc Pugh and Harry Arter also hit the target, with Nathan Delfouneso netting a consolation for the hosts.

Middlesbrough went into the day behind Bournemouth only on goal difference but were beaten 2-0 at Ipswich, with Daryl Murphy and Jay Tabb pushing the Tractor Boys above their opponents and into second place.

Brentford made it seven wins from their last eight games when prevailing 3-2 at Cardiff, with Alex Pritchard, Andre Gray and Jota putting them in control before replies from Craig Noone and Kenwyne Jones for the Bluebirds.

Norwich twice came from behind to share the spoils in a 2-2 lunchtime draw at Derby, with Cameron Jerome and Steven Whittaker striking for the Canaries and Johnny Russell and Chris Martin on target for County.

Matty Fryatt had two goals controversially ruled out as Nottingham Forest were denied victory over Leeds at the City Ground.

The Reds striker had given Stuart Pearce's side the lead in first-half injury time -- but either side of that he had two efforts ruled out for offside, with television replays suggesting they should have stood.

And Neil Redfearn's side secured a 1-1 draw as former Forest player Billy Sharp netted emphatically from the spot in the 54th minute after Sam Byram had been tripped by Danny Fox.

Jordan Rhodes grabbed a double as Blackburn beat Charlton 2-0 at Ewood Park, while David Cotterill scored the only goal of the game as Birmingham prevailed at Huddersfield.

Ross McCormack, Shaun Hutchinson, Lasse Vigen Christensen and Cauley Woodrow, with a stoppage-time penalty, all hit the target as Fulham hammered Sheffield Wednesday 4-0.

Watford recovered from having Gabriele Angella sent off to claim a 1-0 victory at Reading thanks to Almen Abdi's 70th-minute score, while Tom Lawrence and Alex Revell netted either side of a Ben Watson strike as Rotherham edged out Wigan 2-1 at the DW Stadium.

Darren Bent put Brighton ahead at Wolves, but the visitors had Bruno sent off before Danny Batth levelled late on in a 1-1 draw.
