Stephan El Shaarawy won't leave Milan without 'sensational offer' - agent

AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy will not be leaving the club in January unless a "sensational offer" arrives, according to his agent.

El Shaarawy, 22, who has an Egyptian father and Italian mother, has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal when the transfer window reopens. The Italy international is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund and Roma, but his brother and agent Manuel El Shaarawy claims he won't be leaving.

"I have not been contacted by Borussia Dortmund, nor by Roma, nor by any other club," he told Gianluca Di Marzio's website. "Stephan will not leave Milan in January unless there is a sensational offer, the type that no-one can be sure will arrive.

"He is at the centre of the Milan project, and the relationship with the Coachand the environment is excellent."

Manuel also denied his brother was struggling with the demands of Serie A.

"He's in a good condition physically and mentally, but he must unblock himself," he said. "He gives great support to the team in the defensive phase, which sometimes detracts from his lucidity when he gets in front of the goal.

"Of course when your job is to be a striker, the target is to get a number of goals that is at least in the double digits.

"At the end of the season we'll sit down together with Milan and we'll evaluate how the year went, but we don't have any special meeting planned at the moment, nor did the club tell me anything in particular."

However, asked where he would like to see Stephan play if he were to leave Milan, Manuel insisted that England was top of his list.

"I don't know his preferences, we have not discussed the subject," he added. "Personally, in the event that he should ever leave Milan, I'd love to see him play in England, because the Premier League is a fascinating League."
