Florentino Perez: Real Madrid haven't spoken to BVB about Marco Reus

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told "El Larguero" he is not certain Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus would fit into Carlo Ancelotti's team.

Reus has been strongly linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion amid reported interest from Bayern Munich and Madrid, and Blancos boss Ancelotti -- who reportedly let slip his hopes of signing the attacker -- has described him as "the best German player."

However, asked if Madrid needed to sign Reus, Perez replied: "I'll tell you the truth -- I would not know who to take out to put in Reus if I were coach ... We will speak with the manager and we'll wait."

AS also quoted Perez as saying: "I'm good friends with Borussia's president. We're not looking at Reus, in the same way as we're not talking about renovations [contract renewals]."

Perez had said in the interview that contract renewals are only discussed "at the beginning and the end of the season."

There had been reports that Madrid had an agreement in place with Dortmund recently, but BVB chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke told Bild that was "nonsense" as, given that Reus has a release clause worth 25 million euros, it is "Marco's decision where he'll be going."

Perez also stressed that there were no issues with Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos over his contract.

Former Madrid sporting director Arrigo Sacchi wrote in La Gazzetta dello Sport that Ramos had told him Perez was not prepared to meet his wage demands, but the player denied that was the case and said he expected to agree new terms.

Perez also suggested that was the case, adding: "I've never had any issues with Sergio Ramos surrounding his contract renewal. They say he's my favourite -- he's signed so many shirts for me."
