Goal-line technology will be introduced into the Bundesliga from next season after the German Football League (DFL) put its implementation to the vote for the second time in 2014.
Last March, the 36 clubs which made up the top two divisions of German football at the time failed to provide a two-thirds majority for the introduction of goal-line technology, with only half of the 18 top-tier clubs voting in favour of the move.
But a goal by Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels against Bayern Munich in last season's DFB-Pokal final that was incorrectly not given reignited the debate and Bayern, who benefited from the mistake, put the issue back on the DFL's agenda.

On Thursday, the 18 top-flight clubs held a new ballot on its introduction, and this time 15 voted in favour for the new technology.
The DFL subsequently confirmed that HawkEye, the technology already in use in the Premier League, will be introduced into the Bundesliga from July 1, 2015.
"I believe that it's the right step forward for German football, and a help for the referees," DFL president Reinhard Rauball told reporters.
According to DFL executive Andres Rettig the new system will cost "less than 8,000 euros per Bundesliga match."
He added: "We are delighted that we can begin the new season with the HawkEye from July onwards."
