Bosnia-Herzegovina sack manager Safet Susic after loss to Israel

Bosnia-Herzegovina sacked coach Safet Susic on Monday with the team struggling in the 2016 European Championship qualifying campaign.

The country's football association, NFSBIH, announced the decision on state television.

"The NFSBIH executive board was unanimous in the decision to relieve Susic of his duties," governing body member Milorad Sofranic said.

Bosnia lost 3-0 away to Israel on Sunday, and are in fifth place in Group B with just two points from their first four games.

They managed draws with Wales and Belgium but also lost at home to Cyprus in September.

Susic led the Balkan nation to their first World Cup last summer, but the Dragons lost their opening two matches to Argentina and Nigeria before defeating Iran in their final match and going out in the group stage.
