Pablo Armero eyes move after failing to break into AC Milan team

AC Milan full-back Pablo Armero has expressed his disappointment at having played only 14 minutes for the club all season.

Armero joined Milan on a season-long loan from Udinese in the summer -- but has said that move was never his choice and he would have been better off going elsewhere.

"I met [coach Filippo] Inzaghi only once, and it was not me who asked to come to Milan," he told Colombian website El Universal.

"I just asked to go to a team where I could be a key player. It was Inzaghi who asked me to join because he said he counted on me.

"I'm not one of those who likes to talk much about what goes on within a club, but the situation is pretty difficult at Milan because Inzaghi said: 'Come here because I need you,' and I thought he really meant it -- but I never play."

Armero's 14 minutes of action came on the opening day of the season when he came on as a late substitute against Lazio, and he has been on the bench ever since.

"I really thought I was going to play regularly considering I did well at the World Cup in Brazil," he added. "But, so far, I've not found any room at all."

Armero said he could seek a move away from Milan in the winter transfer window.

Udinese -- who also owned 50 percent of his registration -- bought him outright from Napoli before sending him to Milan on a season-long loan with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer for 5.5 million euros.
