Real Madrid's Gareth Bale not seeking Premier League return - agent

Gareth Bale's agent has dismissed speculation linking the Real Madrid star with a move to Manchester United.

Madrid enjoyed an excellent spell of form during Bale's recent absence through injury, with a number of pundits in Spain suggesting Isco now represented the better option for Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI.

That has led to speculation that Bale could return to the Premier League, with one report making the unlikely claim that the European champions would contemplate allowing the Wales international to join United in exchange for former Madrid star Angel Di Maria.

However, David Manasseh, who co-owns the Stellar Group that represents Bale, has told Calcio Mercato that there is no foundation whatsoever to that claim.

"Rubbish," he said. "The rumours of a swap deal are absolute rubbish. It's not true that Bale wants to return to the Premier League either. Things are going well in Madrid and he wants to continue wearing the Real shirt."

Ancelotti -- who had already stressed Bale's importance to the team -- has also revealed he was not entirely happy with Di Maria during his time in Madrid, telling Al Primer Toque: "Sometimes he lost control -- he lost the ball in important moments."
