Nani not aware of any return to Manchester United in January

Nani said he is unaware of any clause in his loan agreement with Sporting Lisbon that dictates a potential return to Manchester United in January.

"I don't think there is any such clause but that is for others to solve," Nani told reporters in Almancil during Portugal's practice ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifier vs. Armenia.

The Portugal winger rejoined his former club for the season after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by new manager Louis van Gaal. He has revived his career in Portugal. This season he has already scored five times in 12 appearances for Sporting Lisbon, compared to only once last year.

Nani said he is happy to hear that Manchester United fans want him back at the club because of the form that he has shown in Portugal.

"It is always good to feel the affection of the fans," the 27-year-old said.

"They want me back because they recognise that I am in good form and can be an asset for the club.

"That's football. Sometimes we are praised and sometimes we are criticised."
