West Ham loan star Alex Song hints at permanent Premier League transfer

Alex Song has revealed that he could make a permanent return to the Premier League after an impressive start to his loan spell with West Ham.

The 27-year-old Cameroon international left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2012, but was loaned to the Hammers by the Spanish side this summer.

Song is among a number of new recruits starring for Sam Allardyce's side as they currently sit in fourth place in the table, and the midfielder says he could be tempted to leave the Camp Nou for England at the end of the season.

The Sun reports Song as saying: "I think my future will be here. My family, everyone is happy here. I'm very happy to come back to England.

"I've always said if I move from Barcelona, I'll come to England and my future is here anyway. I just want to enjoy playing at the moment and we'll see what is happening at the end of the season."

Song made 39 La Liga appearances for Barca since his move from the Gunners, but failed to nail down a starting XI role as he made just 19 appearances last season.

The midfielder has played in all six of the games he has been available for the Hammers since his loan switch on Aug. 30, of which Allardyce's side have won four and drawn one.
