Gonzalo Higuain still happy at Napoli, brother says

Contrary to reports, striker Gonzalo Higuain is not eager for a move away from Napoli, his brother says.

Napoli crashed out of the Champions League in the playoff round in August, leading to speculation thatĀ the Argentina international would like to move elsewhere.

But Federico Higuain, who plays in Major League Soccer for the Columbus Crew, toldĀ " target="_blank">Calciomercato on Thursday that his younger brother is happy in Naples.

"I have read and heard different things about my brother, but none of these things correspond to reality," the older Higuain said in quotes translated by Football Italia. "People have spoken of the disappointment of not qualifying for the Champions League [group stage], and that this has caused resentment from Gonzalo.

"Nothing could be further from the truth. When I speak to my brother he is calm, and happy to wear the shirt of Napoli. His future is still with the Partenopei."

Gonzalo Higuain has yet to score in Serie A this season after being the club's top scorer with 17 last season, but his brother was confident the former Real Madrid man would turn around his campaign.

"I don't think I'm wrong when I say that my brother is one of the best strikers in world football," Federico Higuain said.

"During his career, Gonzalo has scored a lot of goals, and in every way possible. Therefore it won't be a problem for him to get back to scoring goals, and being as decisive as he was in recent seasons."
