U.S. Soccer confirms friendly against Colombia in London

The United States will play Colombia in a friendly on Nov. 14 in London, U.S. soccer announced on Wednesday.

The game will be played at Fulham's Craven Cottage, four days before the U.S. plays Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

Croatia's federation had announced on Oct. 11 that their team would play the Americans on Nov. 12, but U.S. Soccer confirmed to MLSsoccer.com that talks fell through.

Colombia are ranked third in the world by FIFA following a strong World Cup in which they reached the quarterfinals and breakout star James Rodriguez won the Golden Boot.

The Washington Post reported that Croatia will instead face Argentina on Nov. 12 at West Ham's Upton Park.
