Arsenal held by Hull as Chelsea and Manchester City win

Danny Welbeck scored an injury-time equaliser as Arsenal rescued a point against Hull City at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal had gone ahead on 13 minutes after a fine individual effort from Alexis Sanchez, but Hull hit back quickly when Mo Diame went through the defence and clipped the ball over Wojciech Szczesny.

The Tigers went ahead early in the second half when Abel Hernandez headed home and that goal had looked to be enough to secure the three points, but Welbeck stabbed home an equaliser in injury time to salvage a share of the spoils.

Chelsea remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League after edging past Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea took the lead through Oscar's free kick on six minutes but they found themselves down to 10 men when Cesar Azpilicueta was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Mile Jedinak on 40 minutes.

Palace were unable to take advantage, though, as Damien Delaney picked up a second yellow card shortly afterwards, and the Blues went 2-0 up through Cesc Fabregas on 51 minutes after he played a neat one-two with Oscar.

The Eagles did reduce the deficit late on through Fraizer Campbell's tap-in, but to no avail.

Sergio Aguero scored four goals as Manchester City beat 10-man Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in an encounter that saw four penalties awarded.

Two of those penalties were saved -- one by Aguero and the other by Roberto Soldado -- but the Argentine more than made amends, scoring two of his three spot kicks and adding another two from open play.

Spurs, who saw Federico Fazio dismissed, had earlier equalised through Christian Eriksen.

Southampton romped to a huge victory over Sunderland as their superb start to the season continued.

Saints had gone into the match in third place and they underlined their credentials with a massive victory at St Mary's.

Santiago Vergini's own goal began the rout before Graziano Pelle and Jack Cork added to the scoreline, and Liam Bridcutt then also put the ball into his own net.

Pelle added his second of the game for 5-0 before Dusan Tadic, Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane compounded the visitors' misery.

Everton enjoyed only their second win of the season as they defeated Aston Villa at Goodison Park.

The Toffees, who had not won since beating West Brom on Sept. 13, took the lead through Phil Jagielka's header and then doubled their advantage early in the second half through Romelu Lukaku.

Seamus Coleman then added a third in the 76th minute to make the game comfortable.

West Ham United claimed their third victory ion four games as they beat Burnley at Turf Moor to move into fourth place.

Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Carlton Cole got the goals for the Hammers, with George Boyd's effort on the hour proving no more than a consolation.

Newcastle United saw their match against Leicester City delayed by an hour as a result of a loose scoreboard but managed to claim a much-needed victory.

Gabriel Obertan scored the only goal on the game in the 71st minute as Newcastle claimed a first league win since May 3 in Alan Pardew's 700th game as a manager.
