Agent: Wesley Sneijder staying at Galatasaray, problems resolved

Wesley Sneijder will not be leaving Galatasaray after the two parties resolved an issue over unpaid wages, according to the player's agent.

Last week, Sneijder, 30, revealed that he has not been paid by the Turkish side in recent weeks, and said that his management are "in talks with the club to find a solution."

According to a report in De Telegraaf, the Netherlands international has yet to receive wages for the past three months, adding up to a total of one million euros.

The dispute had led to speculation that Sneijder would leave Galatasaray, but Guido Albers says he and the club were able to sort out the financial problems regarding his client.

"We have discussed the situation with Unal Aysal [the Galatasaray president] and solved it. There are no more problems," Albers told kicker.

The German football magazine reported that a move away from Istanbul "appears to be off the table" for Sneijder amid talk that he could be reunited with his former Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal at Manchester United in January.

However, kicker also reported that debts of some 200 million euros -- down from 250 million euros two years ago -- still weigh heavily upon Galatasaray.

The club have been told by UEFA to abide by financial fair play regulations and sort out their financial irregularities up until May 2015, and should they fail to achieve that then they could be banned from European competition next season.
