Chelsea face Derby, Liverpool get Bournemouth in Capital One Cup

Chelsea will face in-form Championship side Derby County in the quarterfinals of the Capital One Cup, while Liverpool also get second-tier opposition as they travel to Bournemouth.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Newcastle United in the only all-Premier League clash of the round, while League One side Sheffield United have secured a home tie with Southampton.

Spurs secured a berth in the quarterfinals with a 2-0 win over Brighton at White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening, while Newcastle knocked out holders Manchester City with an impressive 2-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Ronald Koeman's Saints left it late to progress on Wednesday: Graziano Pelle netted an 89th-minute winner as they edged Stoke 3-2 after the Potters had fought back to level from two goals down at the Britannia, and their reward is a trip to the Blades.

Jose Mourinho's side overcame Shrewsbury Town 2-1 on Tuesday, though Chelsea will have to be on better form to edge Derby -- currently top the Championship on goal difference -- who put up a solid fight at home to the Blues last year in a 2-0 FA Cup defeat.

Despite a struggling start to the 2014-15 campaign, Brendan Rodgers will be confident his side can secure a semifinal spot as they face a quarterfinal draw away to Bournemouth -- also opponents in last year's FA Cup -- though the Cherries have already beaten Premier League opposition in West Brom on Tuesday.

To be played the week of Dec. 15.
