Angel Di Maria wants Rosario Central return with Mascherano and Lavezzi

Angel Di Maria wants to one day return to hometown club Rosario Central and has even discussed the idea with Javier Mascherano and Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to Canchallena.

Di Maria, who moved to Manchester United this summer from Real Madrid for a British record fee of 59.7 million pounds, was born in Rosario and started his professional career with the Argentine side.

The midfielder says El Canalla will always have a special place in his heart, while he has come up with a plan to play for the club once again later in his career, along with two of his Albiceleste teammates.

"Central will always be first in my head. I talked with Pocho [Lavezzi] and Masche [Mascherano] to get back together there," Di Maria is quoted as saying by Canchallena.

"I always remember Central, they will always be present in my mind. It is the first and then all the clubs are afterwards."

Di Maria left Central in 2007 for Benfica, where he stayed for three years before signing for Madrid.
