PSG held again at Toulouse, Monaco beaten at home by Nice

Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to draw 1-1 at Toulouse but will feel frustrated at dropping yet more Ligue 1 points as they toiled at the Stade Municipal.

It is the fifth time they have drawn this season and, although they remain unbeaten, Laurent Blanc will be growing increasingly frustrated by their failure to finish teams off.

Ben Yedder's fifth goal of the season gave the hosts the lead before Jean-Christophe Bahebeck equalised -- and that is how it stayed as PSG were frustrated throughout the second half.

Yedder's opener moves him joint second with PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts and the visitors will be left wondering what might have been had the Swede been available to play.

He remains sidelined with a heel injury along with fellow absentees Thiago Silva and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Nice halted the Monaco revival as an early free-kick from Carlos Eduardo earned the visitors a 1-0 victory in the Cote d'Azur derby.

After offloading Colombian forwards James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao to Real Madrid and Manchester United respectively, the Monaco team of 2014-15 lacks the star power of its previous guise and they were languishing close to the foot of Ligue 1 in its early stages.

Three wins in a row, with a Champions League victory over Bayer Leverkusen followed by domestic successes against Montpellier and Guingamp, looked to have given Monaco new momentum.

Divock Origi's first-half strike was enough to give Lille an uninspiring 1-0 win over Bastia that lifted them up to second.

Rene Girard's men suffered their first defeat of the domestic campaign against Nice in midweek but bounced back at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Their victory will hardly send shock waves through the division but they were at least able to maintain a good start to the season and move above PSG.

Metz moved up to fifth after a 3-0 victory over nine-man Reims at Stade Saint-Symphorien.

Striker Juan Manuel Falcon scored Metz's opener five minutes into the second half and netted their third in stoppage time after Ahmed Kashi had made the points safe with a 70th-minute strike.

Reims suffered the indignity of finishing the match with just nine players after Chris Mavinga and Mats Albaek were sent off by referee Oliver Thual.

Last year's Ligue 2 winners Metz are now just two points behind Ligue 1 pacesetters Marseille after winning three successive league matches, while Reims sit 17th after losing five of their first eight league encounters.

Victor Montano grabbed a late winner for Montpellier in a dramatic and controversial ending to their clash with Guingamp at Stade de la Mosson.

Claudio Beauvue looked to have rescued a point for the visitors when he cancelled out Souleymane Camara's opener with six minutes to go.

But Montano responded four minutes later to make it 2-1 before Guingamp goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa was sent off after clashing with referee Philippe Kalt.

Goals from Djakaridja Kone and Cedric Barbosa lifted Evian off the bottom of Ligue 1 as they claimed a 2-0 victory at Lorient, their second straight win.

Kone set the visitors on their way with a second-minute strike and Barbosa sealed the win on the break late on before Lorient had Walid Mesloub sent off in injury time.
