Uruguay add banned Barcelona striker Luis Suarez for October friendlies

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay -- Luis Suarez is one of 29 players in a preliminary Uruguay squad for two friendlies next month in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Coach Oscar Tabarez must still decide if he will pick Suarez for the matches: Oct. 10 at Saudi Arabia, and three days later at Oman.

Tabarez left Suarez off the list for the September friendlies, despite the fact that the ban only includes "official matches."

Hull City's Gaston Ramírez returns after missing the September friendlies due to injury.

The remaining 29 players are virtually unchanged from the September call-up, confirming Tabarez's plans to add youth and more Uruguay league players.

Uruguay will play Oct. 10 vs. Saudi Arabia and Oct. 13 vs. Oman.

Tabarez is coaching despite not having a signed deal, although Uruguay federation president Wilmar Valdez has said there is an agreement in principle.

Barcelona striker Suarez scored twice on his first, and unofficial, start in Barca B's 6-0 win against the Indonesia under-19 team on Wednesday. Suarez will be available to make his Barcelona debut in the first La Liga clasico of the 2014-15 season at Real Madrid on Oct. 25.
