Juventus striker Carlos Tevez fit and ready for Udinese clash

Carlos Tevez has declared himself fit for Juventus' first home game of the season against Udinese on Saturday evening.

Tevez, 30, appeared a doubt for the clash after picking up a thigh injury in training on Wednesday.

The striker was unable to train with his teammates on Thursday, raising further questions over his involvement at the weekend.

However, Tevez, who started Juve's Serie A opening win against Chievo, confirmed on Twitter later in the day that he is fit and raring to go.

"Thanks to everybody for your concern. I have no muscular tear and I am ready for Saturday's game," he wrote.

Tevez will likely partner Fernando Llorente in what is viewed by some as a warm-up for their key Champions League clash against Malmo on Tuesday.

"We failed in the Champions League last year and we hope to do better this time around," Llorente told Sky Sport Italia.

"Our aim is to get through the group and then see how far we can go. It's not going to be easy, but we believe in ourselves. If I can improve on the number of goals I scored last year, then that would be a dream."

Juve are also looking to extend their perfect home record from last season on their debut at the Juventus Stadium this term.

They won all of their 19 home league matches on their way to a record 102 points last season, although Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni does know how to beat them at the stadium, having become the first man to do so with Inter Milan on Nov. 3, 2012.
