Robin van Persie says he is excited by Manchester United's summer spending spree and cannot wait to play alongside their new signings.

United spent a club record 153 million pounds in bringing six players to Old Trafford, including deadline-day recruits Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind.

And four of those new signings could make their debuts in Sunday's home game against Queens Park Rangers, with Marcos Rojo having finally been granted a work permit and Luke Shaw having recovered from a hamstring injury.

Van Persie, 31, played in the 57.9 million-pound record-signing Angel Di Maria's debut at Burnley, but is yet to take to the field with 28.8 million-pound midfielder Ander Herrera, who has not featured since the opening-day defeat to Swansea but is ready to return against Harry Redknapp's side.

"I can't wait to go and train and play with the world-class players we have signed -- wow," he is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.

"That feeling, that we are going to perform well, has only got stronger after the buying of players over the last weeks. I find it very exciting, the arrival of all those new players.

"For me personally, it's brilliant to go and play with some of the best players in the world. It's great that I can go and train and play with them every day."

Van Persie also reiterated his determination to keep on playing for as long as possible.

"I want to go to the World Cup when I am 35, I want to play professional football until I am 40," he added.

"Most probably, it will be for a less famous club by then, but I do want to play as long as I can. Every target I have set myself up until today in my career, I have reached. So I am going to get the other targets, too."
