Stevan Jovetic may miss Man City vs. Arsenal after picking up injury

Stevan Jovetic is a doubt for Manchester City's clash with Arsenal on Saturday after Montenegro coach Branko Brnovic confirmed the forward will miss Monday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Moldova due to a hamstring injury.

Jovetic, 24, sustained the injury during training with his national team and reportedly limped out of the session holding his leg.

The former Fiorentina player, who missed much of last season due to fitness problems, has started the new campaign in good form for City, but may now have to sit out Saturday's Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

"Jovetic's injury has caused us a lot of disruption," Brankovic told the Football Association of Montenegro's official website.

"It would be a major setback for a much bigger team than Montenegro, but in spite of all the problems I think we have enough quality to beat Moldova."

Montenegro kick off their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign against Moldova and will also come up against Russia, Sweden, Austria and Lichtenstein after being drawn in Group G.

If Jovetic -- who scored twice in the win over Liverpool last month -- fails to recover in time to face Arsenal, City will be left with just Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko as options to play up front following Alvaro Negredo's loan move to Valencia.
