Dani Alves set for Barcelona exit in summer of 2015 - Andoni Zubizarreta

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has confirmed Dani Alves will leave Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of the 2014-15 season.

- Tomas: Douglas a surprise addition at Camp Nou
- Ledwith: Barca ready to cope with transfer ban

Alves, 31, had been repeatedly linked with a move away from Camp Nou this summer, with the Catalan club signing fellow Brazilian Douglas as added competition at right-back for both Alves and Martin Montoya.

But despite rumours of Alves departing the club where he has spent the past six seasons, Zubirarreta insists that the club is happy to keep hold of the defender for the final year of his contract.

The Spanish giants have had a busy summer transfer window, bringing in seven new signings to challenge champions Atletico Madrid for the Liga title and compete in Europe to dethrone Champions League holders Real Madrid before FIFA's year-long ban on them registering new players takes effect in January.

Alves has played an instrumental role for Barcelona in recent years, making 190 league appearances and scoring 14 goals while winning four Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, two Champions League titles and two Fifa Club World Cups.
