Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has flown to Rome on the last day of the transfer window to take part in a charity match.

Wenger is set to coach one of the sides competing in the "Match For Peace," with new Argentina boss Gerardo Martino taking charge of the other team.
Among those performing on the pitch in the friendly are legends Maradona, Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Baggio, Paolo Maldini and Andriy Shevchenko.

Wenger's decision to fly to Rome on the final day of the transfer window may not be well-received by some Arsenal fans, who feel that their manager could be focusing fully on trying to finalise any last-minute deals.
With Olivier Giroud out until January with injury, many feel the Gunners need to bolster their strikeforce before the day is out.
However, after being linked with Radamel Falcao, the Colombia international is to join Manchester United, while reported target Danny Welbeck could be joining Tottenham on loan.
Arsenal are also believed to be interested in a new centre-back and defensive midfielder, with Matija Nastasic and William Carvalho -- who has remained coy about his Sporting Lisbon future -- both touted as potential new recruits.
Wenger has not ruled out the possibility of making any new signings, although he has said he will not be forced into any last-minute panic buys.
