Schalke youngster Max Meyer has told Goal.com that he is happy at his club despite being linked with a move away from the Veltins-Arena.
The Germany hopeful has been linked to several European top clubs, but vowed to leave his mark in Bundesliga.
Meyer came through the ranks of Schalke's famous youth academy Die Knappenschmiede, which has developed talents such as Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and midfielder Julian Draxler.
The 18-year-old, who featured in 30 Bundesliga games last season and scored six goals, will compete with Kevin-Prince Boateng for a place in attacking midfield during the new season.
Meyer is under contract at Schalke until 2018 but his impressive performance have led to suggestion of a move away from the club.
"Arsenal and Chelsea interest? That doesn't really affect me. I completely ignore it," Meyer said. "Of course, it's flattering in some way because it's confirmation that you're doing well.
"A move abroad in the future is not on my mind at the moment. I am feeling great at Schalke and in Germany. I feel at home here and all my friends and family are here.
"A transfer is not an option for me. I am not thinking about what will happen in two or three years. I live in the here and now."
This summer, Meyer was called up to Germany's preliminary World Cup squad, and won his first cap when he started against Poland in May 2014.
He, however, did not make the cut, and stayed behind as Joachim Low's XI went on to win the World Cup title.
