Victor Moses joins Stoke on loan

Stoke have signed Victor Moses on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The Potters announced on their official Twitter account that a deal for the 23-year-old forward had been completed.

Moses has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge since moving from Wigan in 2012, and spent last season on loan at Liverpool.

His signing adds to boss Mark Hughes' attacking options, coming after the eye-catching acquisition of Bojan Krkic from Barcelona.

Moses is Hughes' sixth signing of the summer, but was not available in time for Saturday's clash with Aston Villa at the Britannia Stadium.

City chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have secured the services of such an exciting young talent in Victor.

"He will certainly add to our attacking options, and from talking to him it's obvious that he's really excited about the prospect of making an impact in the Premier League with Stoke City.''

The Nigeria international will be looking to revitalise a career which has stalled amid his struggles for playing time at Chelsea and Liverpool.

He made only six league starts at Anfield last season and 12 with the Blues the season before.
