Malaga sign Miguel Torres

Malaga have agreed a deal to sign former Real Madrid defender Miguel Torres on an initial one-year deal.

Torres, 28, came up through the youth ranks at home-town club Madrid and played over 50 matches for the first team, winning two Primera Division titles, before joining Getafe in 2009.

After four years at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Spain under-21 international Torres moved to Olympiakos where he made 10 appearances last season as they won the Greek title.

A Malaga statement read: "Malaga and Miguel Torres have reached an agreement for the incorporation of the Madrid-born defender for next season, with the option to extend the agreement by two more seasons. The new Malaga player will be presented next Monday at 1200 (Spanish time) at La Rosaleda stadium.''
