Valencia have signed Argentina international Lucas Orban from Bordeaux.

Left-back Orban, who has won one cap for his country, has joined the Spanish club on a five-year deal.

The 25-year-old comes in following the departures of defensive trio Jeremy Mathieu, Aly Cissokho and Philippe Senderos.

A Valencia statement read: "Valencia and Bordeaux have reached an agreement on the transfer of Argentinian international defender Lucas Orban, who joins Valencia on a deal through to June 30 2019."

Orban, who moved to Bordeaux from Tigre in 2013 after starting his career at River Plate, said at his Valencia presentation on Monday: "I'm fulfilling the dream of my life and my professional career to be at one of the biggest clubs in Spain. I'm happy and pleased."

He has been included in Valencia's 22-man squad for Tuesday's friendly against Manchester United.
