Barcelona balance concerns Cruyff

Barcelona could struggle to find a balanced team when playing Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, former Barcelona coach Johan Cruyff has told Ultima Hora.

Barca signed Suarez from Liverpool for 75 million pounds this summer, although, pending the outcome of an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, he will not be at coach Luis Enrique's disposal until Oct. 26.

Suarez is serving a four-month ban from all football activity after he bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini while representing Uruguay at the 2014 World Cup.

When the forward is available, Enrique will have a number of world-class players to choose from -- and Cruyff has reservations about how the Spaniard will accommodate all of the stars in a successful side.

Calling them "fantastic players," he added: "I don't know if the team won't end up unbalanced."

Cruyff also reflected on Barca's other summer deals, with Thomas Vermaelen most recently joining the likes of Jeremy Mathieu and Ivan Rakitic at the Camp Nou.

He said: "They've gone in a new direction and we have to give them the benefit of the doubt. They've spent a lot of money, which always brings a lot of scrutiny, and we'll have to see how it goes."

Regarding rivals Real Madrid's business, he added: "[Toni] Kroos was one of the best players at Bayern and at the World Cup; he sprays the ball around really well.

"James [Rodriguez] is a terrific ballplayer. Barca always used to sign lots of ballplayers, but now Real have done so."
