Arsenal have confirmed that Johan Djourou has completed a permanent move to Hamburg.

Djourou, 27, spent last season on loan with Hamburg and the Bundesliga club had announced earlier this year that they intended to purchase the Switzerland international.
The Gunners announced on Thursday that the deal had been completed.

A statement on the English club's official website added: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Johan for his contribution to the club and wish him continued success with Hamburg."
