New Paris Saint-Germain signing David Luiz says he cannot wait to put his World Cup nightmare behind him after arriving in the French capital, although he is unlikely to make his debut in his new club's first match of the season on Friday.
Luiz began life with the Ligue 1 champions on Tuesday after arriving at the club's training ground along with his club and international teammate Thiago Silva.

The 27-year-old will be officially presented to the media on Thursday morning. Neither he nor Silva are likely to play in PSG's opening game at Reims on Friday, given the late start of their preseason preparations.
It was the first time that the centre-back pair had trained since Brazil's humiliating end to their home tournament last month, which saw the Selecao thrashed 7-1 to Germany in the semifinals and then beaten 3-0 by Netherlands in the third-place playoff.

It also marked the former Benfica player's first appearance in Paris since he sealed a 50 million pound move from Chelsea in June.
A little earlier, after arriving on a private jet from Rio de Janeiro, Luiz told Le Parisien that he was eager to get started with the French champions.
"I want to enjoy myself with my new team," he said. "I want to do as well as possible and help PSG to win several titles.
"If it was possible, I'd like to play again from tomorrow.
"After three weeks off, I miss football already.
"I looked after myself physically during the holidays so I'm still in good condition. But I have to work and work some more to be ready."
