Falcao, Di Maria agent meets Perez

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was pictured by AS with the agent of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao and Los Blancos forward Angel Di Maria on Monday.

Falcao, 28, has been a long-term target of the European champions, who currently only have Karim Benzema as a recognised senior centre-forward in their squad following the sale of Alvaro Morata to Juventus.

Real have already signed one player from Monaco this summer, bringing Falcao's Colombia teammate James Rodriguez to the Bernabeu. The attacking midfielder said shortly after completing his move to the Spanish capital last month: "[Falcao] has a winning mentality and that's what Madrid want -- I really hope he goes there."

Monaco coach Leandro Jardim told reporters at the weekend that Falcao will "be with us this season" and the player himself said that he is "100 percent focused on Monaco," but the meeting between agent Jorge Mendes, Perez and Real director general Jose Angel Sanchez at one of the restaurants at the Bernabeu is a strong indication that a deal could be done.

According to AS, Perez is not a regular presence at the club's offices unless there is specific, high-level business to conduct.

Di Maria has been consistently linked with a move out of Madrid, with Monaco being regularly linked with a bid for the Argentina attacker.

However, Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in the 26-year-old, who could move to the Parc des Princes on an initial season-long loan to help the French champions comply with UEFA's financial fair play regulations.
