Pochettino coy on Schneiderlin

Mauricio Pochettino has refused to be drawn on whether Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

Southampton have been struggling to hold onto their key players since Pochettino's exit at the end of last season, with Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw having all departed, while Dejan Lovren is close to joining Liverpool and Arsenal have made a move for Calum Chambers.

Schneiderlin, 24, could also be on his way, and a source has told ESPN FC that Spurs have held talks with Saints over the France international, but Pochettino was unwilling to address the matter.

"We're trying to improve the squad but I never speak about players from other clubs," he told the media after his side's 2-0 friendly victory over Chicago Fire. "I have respect. I'm just focused on my team."

The Guardian has reported that Saints have asked for more than 27 million pounds for Schneiderlin.
