Ancelotti calms Falcao speculation

Carlo Ancelotti has insisted Real Madrid are not looking to bring in another striker this summer despite reports of interest in Radamel Falcao.

Madrid were reported to be looking for a centre-forward to provide competition for Karim Benzema after the sale of Alvaro Morata, and Monaco star Falcao has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu recently.

However, Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has told L'Equipe he is relying on Falcao this season and Ancelotti said after his side's game against Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup that he did not require another striker as his current squad offers him "several options."

"Benzema is very reliable and we can also use players like Isco, who can act as a false nine," he said on his club's official website. "We are not looking for another striker because we don't need one."

There has also been strong speculation that Angel Di Maria is set to leave the Bernabeu, with Paris Saint-Germain reported to be close to tying up a deal.

However, Ancelotti said: "I don't have any news. There are no updates from the market. Di Maria is resting after the World Cup. He will return on Aug. 5 to train with the rest of his teammates."
