Arturo Vidal plays down speculation

Arturo Vidal has told Sky Sport Italia that he has not considered his future at Juventus and is yet to talk to new manager Massimiliano Allegri amid reported interest from Manchester United.

The Chile international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, but played down questions from reporters about a possible switch when he arrived at Turin airport after a post-World Cup break.

"I'm still on my holidays," he said. "I've only just returned and I'll have to talk to the coach [Massimiliano Allegri] and then we'll see. I'm happy here."

He added that he had not yet spoken about his future with any of his teammates, and when pressed on whether he would join United repeated "no" three times, joking instead that he was going to Lazio.

Gazzetta dello Sport had quoted the midfielder as saying: "I'm happy here and I'm relaxed, and I think the Juve fans can be relaxed too, but I don't know -- I've not spoken to Allegri yet, or my teammates, but I'm not going to Manchester."

Vidal's Juventus colleague Carlos Tevez has urged the club to hold on to him, describing him as a "phenomenal" player.

"Vidal's a real champion," he said at a news conference in Turin. "I hope he stays here, because we can't afford to let our champions leave."
