PSG add Serge Aurier on loan

Paris Saint-Germain signed right-back Serge Aurier on a season-long loan from Toulouse on Wednesday.

The deal for the Ivory Coast international includes an option to buy at the end of the campaign, a move that will allow PSG escape the financial restrictions placed upon them by the Financial Fair Play penalties.

"To play for Paris Saint-Germain, with the exceptional players this club has, is a dream come true. I will give my maximum to help the club reach the summits. After taking part in the World Cup for the first time, I am having a fantastic summer. I would like to thank the club for the confidence they have shown in me," Aurier said in a statement.

Aurier, 21, came up through the RC Lens academy before transferring to Toulouse in January 2012. He was named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Season this year after scoring six goals.

He played in all three games for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup and has 11 international caps.

Aurier will help spell Gregory van der Wiel, who has dealt with consistent knee injuries.
