Xherdan Shaqiri open to move

Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has welcomed links with Juventus, Liverpool and Monaco but said there has been no contact with any of the three clubs.

Switzerland international Shaqiri expressed frustration over his lack of playing time at the end of last season and has suggested on several occasions that he would be open to a transfer.

Bayern sporting executive Matthias Sammer recently stressed that Shaqiri was not for sale, but the 22-year-old said his future is still uncertain.

"I'm on holiday and I don't yet know what will happen," he told Italian newspaper Tuttosport. "My brother's taking care of my future. The only thing that is certain is that I have a contract with Bayern Munich until 2016. We'll soon see."

Asked about reported interest from Juventus, he said: "There's not been any contact with the Bianconeri and I've not been informed of any from Liverpool and Monaco either."

He added: "Certainly Juve could be a good option and the same goes for Monaco and Liverpool. Juve are a great club -- who wouldn't like to play for them? I'm a Bayern player, but I wouldn't see the Bianconeri as a step back in my career."

Shaqiri only appeared in half of Bayern's Bundesliga matches last season, starting just nine. Injury also contributed to his lack of action, although he was rarely first choice for Bayern coach Pep Guardiola.
