James Rodriguez has passed his Real Madrid medical ahead of his official unveiling as the club's new signing at the Bernabeu on Tuesday, according to reports in Spain. Both AS and Marca report that the Colombia attacker, 23, will be presented at the stadium of his new club at 20:00 local time upon completing his move from Ligue 1 club Monaco on a six-year deal for a fee of around 80 million euros. As he left the clinic in the Spanish capital, the player told AS he was "very happy" and that "everything went well". James, who will wear the No. 10 shirt vacated by Mesut Ozil's move to Arsenal last summer, will join World Cup winner Toni Kroos as a high-profile arrival in this transfer window. The former Porto player claimed the Golden Boot with six goals in Brazil as Colombia reached the quarterfinals, and his strike against Uruguay in the round of 16 was voted the goal of the tournament. He is scheduled to join up with his new teammates for their preseason tour of the U.S. after being presented to the fans in the Spanish capital. Real will play International Champions Cup matches against Inter Milan in Berkley, CA., in July 27, Roma in Dallas, Texas, on July 30 and Manchester United on Aug. 2 in Ann Arbor, MI. Should Real reach the final, they will play for the trophy in Miami, FL. on Aug. 4.
