'Suarez told us he won't bite again'

Barcelona defender Marc Bartra has revealed Luis Suarez has assured his future teammates he will not bite anyone again.

On Friday, it was confirmed that Barca and Liverpool had agreed a fee for Uruguay international Suarez, who is currently serving a four-month FIFA suspension after biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has said the club are confident that will be reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, but many -- including ex-Blaugrana star Hristo Stoichkov -- have raised concerns that it could happen again.

Suarez had earlier served bans after biting opponents while representing Ajax and Liverpool, but Bartra told El Mundo Deportivo that Suarez "has already assured us he will not do it again."

He added: "The most important thing is that he has apologised, which shows honour as a person, and hopefully he will bring us good football and goals.

"He's a great addition -- one of the best strikers in the world -- and he will raise the level of the team."
